About Work

Sahar Ghorishi is an Iranian multidisciplinary artist based in LA/ London. Along side illustration, Sahar is the founder of a creative directing platform Journey of/to Dawn where they create narrative films , documentary and photography series exploring middle eastern beauty, truth. They are most known for exploring concepts such as western beauty standards.

Creating Art can be done in many ways, and Sahar explores this through styling and photography. She spent many years in London freelancing in styling and creative direction,

Sahar uses her social Media platform and her love for illustration/ animation to create digital art series exploring her culture. Their most recent art series is dedicated to the different ethnicities that exist around Iran as well as Persian astrology!

“CAVE ME IN”

Instillation

An installation, film, digital artwork and painting by Sahar Ghorishi. The artwork explores the idea of longing and being at one with something that you cannot physically have. Cave me in talks about attachment and the idea of wanting to be at one with your roots and living as well as dying with your roots. The artwork aims to also touch upon the political nature of being Middle Eastern and Iranian at this point in time.
